In 1988, after many years of farming on the outskirts of Melbourne, and 30 years operating a Piano & Organ business, Prestige Pianos, I moved to beautiful Phillip Island. I left my son, Mark, to operate the Piano business located in Melbourne. After 8 months of fishing and farming, the need became clear for more accommodation on the Island for tourists coming from around the world to our beautiful Island. Since the home was already designed and constructed for accommodating guests, only minor changes were needed to transform the home into a First Class B&B. Since I had served people all my life, in business, church, and youth and camp work, the B&B was an extension of this life style.

My first guests were the Stone Family from Sioux City, Iowa, US. They were such delightful guests there was no turning back. We are now in the 15th year of trading, and about 1000 people come and go each year, feeling refreshed and revived.

We have many small groups staying, friends, family, clubs, and wedding parties, etc. We can easily accommodate 14 adults. We offer evening meals, which proves to be a delightful experience. I insure that staff are the best in their field, and always have the guests best interests at heart.

We want our home to be a home away from home, a warm friendly environment, where guests can mingle as friends, and will love to return.

My guests are served afternoon tea on arrival, hot drinks or a glass of wine on their return from the penguin parade or from viewing the shearwaters return to their nests in the evening.

The following day begins with a delightful breakfast, of fresh fruit, cereal, bacon & eggs, toast, and beverages. We are pleased to cater for vegetarians, and other special needs. Coffee and tea is served at any time in the Lounge.

First Class is known as having the best residential views on the western end of the Island, 220 ^o of panoramic sea views. A peaceful atmosphere of tranquility is our trademark.

We strongly suggest a two or more night stay, one night to see the penguin parade, one to view the shearwaters, and walks to view some of the worlds best scenery. Expect to be spoiled if you stay at First Class. We know that you will want to come back for a return visit.
